Sebastian Arthur Andersen was born Aug 18 here in Norway! The birth went really well and rather fast. He is curious, strong (could lift his own head the day after being born), and loves to cuddle. We are so excited to show him off, as well as his spunky big sister who has grown so much since we were in Utah, when we come for Donna's wedding in November!

May 11th was Sam & I's 2 year anniversary. It was my year to plan everything. I planned to take him to see the "Blue Man Group" in Vegas. I held out for a week with out telling him, however he guessed it the day before with out knowing. (what a punk) the original plan was to go to a nice dinner before the show. Oh don't worry, we ended up eating at Panda Express!!! Yummy. The show was great & we were laughing the whole time. So here's to 2 years of a hecka happy marriage.....I love you Sam

spring is here well almost greg made the most of spring break and intertained the kids they had alot of fun swimming and hiking and just hanging out, oh sharla is the only one who went down the hard trail, on her mountain bike. there may be a reason it's called 3fingers of death, but she's tough, only a few bumps and cuts.

On Monday Feb. 23rd Jeremy had his White Coat Ceremony for Dental School. It was pretty cool to see Jeremy get his White "Doctors" Coat (even though he won't have the title of Doctor for another 3 years) Jeremy works so hard and has been doing really well in school. It was a great night and we were so glad Grandma was able to come down and be there along with Mike.

Sam and I had the most amazing Labor Day. we spent the whole day in Zion. We hiked Emerald Pools and it was awesome. we were originally only going to hike to the lower pool but decided to hike the very highest pool.

Tony decided that he wanted a new "fohawk" haircut so Jeremy quickly stepped up to the challenge. When it was all over it looked surprisingly good and Tony seemed to like it so I guess all is well. I just hope that he can style it differently just in case grandma Clo isn't ready for the "fohawk" look all of the time.

Well...David finally made it home. It was exciting for everyone. Probably a little bit of culture shock going from a mission in TX to the Las Vegas Airport but it was fun to get to hang out again.

Once, while david was on his mission, he told us a story about when he was riding his bike and and a guy drove by and threw a big gulp at him. While we were waiting at the airport we made one of those little concierge signs and put "elder Big Gulp" on it. It was funny.

The top picture shows David running as we finally met up. Come to find out, he didn't know that families can't go into the departure gates anymore. He got off his flight and sat looking for us for 5 minutes. Finally someone told him that his family was probably in baggage claim. As you can see he was pretty excited to find us.

After leaving the airport we all went over to Jeremy and Nicole's house and were able to look at mission pictures, visit, and share stories. It was awesome.

The Treasure Hunt

We went on a treasure hunt and guess what we found? A buried treasure and a proposal. Shain asked Sharla to marry him and she said yes. He sent us on a hunt to uncover the prize, and what a wonderful prize it is. Shain met Sharla at track, and they have been dating for several months. we are so excited and happy for them, the are an amazing couple. The wedding is tentatively set for Aug. 2 .

Eat your heart out Paula & Steve! We have our very own Camelback hike right here in Southern Utah! No need to travel to Phoenix anymore for your camelback needs! My sister Annie leads hikes for a weight loss spa in Ivins and so she learns all these cool ones and takes us on the weekends. This one, coincidentally, is named Camelback.... can you possibly guess why?

We didn't make it all the way up it, not because of lack of skill or fitness, but because we tried taking a 2 year old and a 5 month old and it got too hot for them. Cooper, however, can point out every "castus" (cactus) on the trail and he's become very good at dodging them after an incident at Whitney Pockets in March.

Biggest Loser Week 4

They say the proof is in the pictures so here's our before and after pictures for Week 4:

The bottom is Jesse at 258. The top pictures are Jesse 17.2 pounds lighter at 240.8. (6.6% loss)
Kevin started at 273 (bottom)and lost 10.2 lbs (top) and is now at 262.8 (3.7% loss)

Sam started 375 (top)and lost 7 lbs. and is now at 368 (bottom). (1.8% loss)

Eric's before pics are on my computer, so I'll have to see if I can put his on later, but he started 3 weeks ago at 297 lbs. and lost 15.2 lbs. and is now at 281.8 (below). (5.1% loss)I think that Eric takes the cake this week because he's the only contestant that has consistantly lost weight and not gained it back from week to week! Way to go Eric!

Next, our contestants agreed on a picture post once a month, and a weigh in every week, so here are the updates for week 2:
Jesse: 250.8 lbs. (-7.2 lbs. 2.7%) goal weight: 220 lbs.

I'll right i'll give this a try, if Loran wasn't so busy with school, i could make her do it. If I brag on all my children it would take you forever to read, lets just say they are all the best and brighest and cutest kids ever, just to prove it here are some pic's. Shain and Morgan are both busy with collage finals, Loran has been keeping busy with school also, she will be doing duel inrolement next year which means that she will be going to college as well as highschool. Austin is alway on the go, but unlike the rest of the kids, he's not ready for school to end, his vote would be for year round school. Chyanna, Paytin, Jordan and Gillian are counting down the day's untill school is over. Greg will be teaching summer school, so he'll be busy too. Me i'm always busy. Oh man I had a great April Fools Day! I totally got Jesse in the morning when I called him and told him our sewer had backed up into our house and was coming out all the drains. He totally freaked out and was jumping in his car to come home when I said "APRIL FOOLS!" I can always get him good because he never knows what day it is! I also short-sheeted the bed which was funny because he was soooo tired, so he finally gets ready for bed and pulls back the covers, hops on the bed and tries to stick his legs down in the sheets and they got stuck half-way down. I had been waiting all day for him to climb into bed, and the bewildered look on his face was so funny! I had to turn away because I was laughing so hard, and he was saying "What the...? Did I ...? How come....?" When he realized what I had done he said "You dork! You got me good!". But really, is the real "dork" the pranker or the prankee? I vote prankee! That sounds like cranky if you say it right, which is what Spencer was when I told him Jesse snapped his achilles tendon again and I needed him at the hospital right away. He hopped in his car and started goin' down there and he got all huffy when I sprung the "april fools" thing on him. Really, some people (spencer) should laugh at themselves more (a lot more, and really hard) and spend less time being angry (and more time loving!).

On December 25, 2007 Paula and mom set the record for holding their arms up and out to the side the longest- 17:02 min. Cheyenna was next at 13:00, and Shain was 3rd at 11:30.
Congratulations guys!Also Shain holds the record for the most situps in one minute-57! For second place, Nikki and Austin tied at 56, and for third place Candice came in with 50! Great job guys! Remember, if you want to challenge any records, you must have witnesses. GEE GEE

We hope everyone had a wonderful Easter! We had a really fun weekend. We wish we could have been at the Manuele Picnic but we made plans before we knew about it. It looks like everyone had a really fun time. We really want to get together with everyone. Be sure to let us know when there is another family get-together.

Bailey had so much fun on her first Easter. Her favorite thing was playing with the plastic Easter eggs and finding little treats inside.

We hope everyone had fun at the easter picnic at the park! We had a delicious lunch of chicken salad with croissants, baked beans, green salad, pasta salad, potato salad, donuts, and sugar cookies. What a feast! There was an easter egg hunt for the small ones, which seemed like more of a mad dash than a "hunt". What a great turn out we had, Mike even made it from Las Vegas despite his many handicaps! Thanks everyone for such a great gathering! Do you have a favorite moment you'd like to share?
